As travel writers, we always want the best price for our flight, we know there are hotel discounts and rebates, we'll clip coupons to save a buck or two. So, how do we keep up to date on the bargains? The answer is as close as your e-mail in-box.

There are a growing number of e-mail newsletters, sent direct to your desktop, with all the latest deals and breaking travel news.

Subscriptions can often be modified with your specific interests, travel preferences, and desired locals to create a useful alternative to generic travel advice.

You subscribe to each travel newsletter through the associated website and delivery can be cancelled at any time. A brief synopsis of upcoming deals will be included in the newsletter with a link back to the site for more complete information.

You can sign up for a number of newsletters to skim over each week, spending time digging into only those deals of specific interest to you.
