Last week, we looked at jobs available at summer camps in the USA. This week, we broaden the focus to look at summer camps overseas and camps that cater to specific niches.

There are a number of organizations that cater to specialized groups. One of these is Jewish Summer Camp JobsThese jewish camps, in operation since 1920, are located around the Pocono Mountains of New Jersey. Each camp is designed to work with a specific population. Programs are made so that campers can enjoy a full camp experience based on their individual needs. Potential staff should be qualified to teach ropes courses, horseback riding, gymnastics, or archery.

This alphabetical listing of Canadian Summer Camps includes a variety of wilderness camp options. Camps are located around Canada. The site includes links to each camp and camp directors can be contacted online.

Western Europe Youth Summer Camps organize a European Muslim Scouts Camp for Muslim children in Europe. The camp, which takes place on an annual basis, is located close to London. It is open to Muslim youths from any European country and serves to introduce scouting to these youths. Daily activities are varied and include workshops, scouts skills, leadership training , and talks.

A number of Eastern European Youth camps are hosted by Eurocamps . There are four annual camps currently. The main camp is in the Russian City of Vladimir. Other camps are in the Czech Republic, Albania, and Croatia. The camps have Christian friendship evangelism as a focus and are attended by local Christian youths. Borderline is a French adventure organization that hosts several youth camps. One of these is a week-long snowboarding course, coached entirely by kids, that gives campers the opportunity to come face to face with snowboarders of the highest international level. Skating and surfing camps are also available.

Camp Beaumont is the leading UK camp operator. Although their website is geared towards the would-be camper, potential workers could use it to gather information. There are links to the webpages of all the camps and e-mail links to camp directors.
