Here you will find contact information for transport companies around Canada specializing in accessible transport. The section has worldwide information but none so complete as this Canadian coverage. GORP - Destination for People with Disabilities GORP.com, associated with Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI), manages this site. It will lead you to articles on their Web site written for people with disabilities and lists other (mainly U.S.)destination information. Patagonia without Limits In both English and Spanish here is a site featuring a get-away built by MartÃn Rebora and Mariaa Lorena de Rebora in Barloche, Argentina with accessible cabanas. Look under "Cabanas Adaptadas" for their 3 accessible units. PN/Paraplegia News - Accessible Travel Resource List A resource list managed by PN/Paraplegia News. Here you'll find a combination of specialized travel agecies and accessible destinations. A helpful resoure for either researching or just dreaming. Portugal: Access in the Algarve Region Someday I'm going to Algarve, after all, "Navegar e preciso!" When I do I'll use this site. Check it out. Site owner, Dave Player, is trustworthy authority on travel and disability. Roll-Ability: South Africa for Wheelchair Users A manufacturer of wheelchairs, three-wheelers, and other equipment with an excellent section on travel in South Africa. Scotland: Disabled Go From their site: Launched to mark the European Year of Disabled People, DisabledGo is an ambitious Internet service which will transform the daily choices available to millions of disabled people, their families and friends. Founded by 29 year old wheelchair user Gregory Burke and supported by Marks & Spencer and leading local authorities, this innovative service is opening up towns and cities across the UK.
