Dialing 999 will get you to an operator for all the emergency services - ambulance, fire brigade, Gardai (police) and boat, coastal and mountain rescue.
Health Care
EU Citizens are entitled to free emergency hospital treatment in a public ward with an E111 form, which you need to obtain in your own country before you travel. Check your local post office or health board. All other visitors will need the appropriate insurance.
Tipping
In most hotels and restaurants a service charge of 10-15% is added to the bill. If you liked the service a small additional tip is always appreciated. Tipping is not usual in pubs, except when you are served at your table. Cabs can be tipped 10%.
