What's Coming Up for 2002 Conferences

© Audrey Choden

Thinking about going to a training or HR conference this year? If your department didn’t cut funding for off-site staff development from its 2002 budget, you might want to take the opportunity to attend a conference this spring.

Below is a list of six popular training and HR conferences scheduled between now and June 2002. Some conferences offer pre or post-conference workshops for an additional fee. Most conferences are fine for professionals of all levels, while others definitely are targeted to an executive audience. So far the themes for this year’s conferences range from blending learning to knowledge management.

Can’t make it to a conference this year? Many organizations post transcripts from keynote speeches, session notes and other materials on their Web sites after the conference. Others sell audiotapes or CDs of the conference proceedings. The Training 2002 Conference will be offering free online editions of popular sessions after the conference. Check the organization’s web site for more information about post conference resources.
