Using the Web to Find Your Next Training JobIf you're a casualty of one of the many layoffs that have occurred recently or you're ready for a change, consider using the Web to find your next training job. In addition to well-known sites such as The Monster Board (www.monster.com), there are ones that specialize in training and development positions. Here's what I found while cruising the Net. eSource http://www.esourcecorp.com eSource's Web site states that they specialize in recruiting and resourcing training and development professionals for Fortune 500 corporations. They help companies fill temporary, project or permanent positions. Check out the Job Board for listings of contract and permanent jobs. Each listing contains: Current jobs include performance consultant, instructional designer, Web team leader and other types and levels of training and development jobs. You can submit a resume to eSource's Talent Database. Training-Jobs.net. http://www.training-jobs.net/ Training Jobs claims to be "a major source of jobs, career advancement opportunities, and employment information for the Training industry." You can find training jobs, post your resume and link to career sites. The database allows you to search by Keywords and Job Category as well as some optional fields. I entered Training AND Manager into the Keywords field and found 52 postings from well-known corporations. Training-Jobs.net offers a variety of recruiting services for employers and recruiters. TrainingJobSite.com http://www.trainingjobsite.com/TrainingJ... This is a new job site that is part of the Megajobs Network. Its database lets you search for jobs by:
The database has international jobs as well as jobs in the United States. Unfortunately, when I tried a few searches for common training job titles, the database didn't return any results. Maybe it's because the employers have to pay a Megaprice to post a job. By the way, this is a mirror of a site called TrainingJobs.com. TCM.com HR Careers http://www.tcm.com/hr-careers/ TCM.com's Web site boasts "Since 1995, a career-center home for Human Resources/Training & Development." The site posts full time or contract jobs in the United States. You can search its database by position, location, specialty, and date. Job listings include: The site also has a link to a salary calculator so you can estimate the cost of living difference between where you now live and a new job location. Another link, How Far Is It?, helps you determine the distance to new job location along with driving directions. There is no fee for job seekers. TCM.com charges employers for access to the resumes on its database or to subscribe to its resume pool.
