In times of chaos and turmoil, we look to music to ease our pain. It’s been more than a month since those unspeakable terrorism attacks on the United States, and we’re still trying to find answers. There are things, however, that don’t have easy answers to…like what happened on September 11. For these things, we look to other outlets for solace and support – and that’s music.

‘United We Stand’ Benefit To Raise Money For D.C. Victims Proceeds from the United We Stand – What More Can I Give benefit concert on October 21 will go to American Red Cross Liberty Relief Fund, the Salvation Army Relief Fund and the Pentagon Relief Fund. Artists that have signed up to perform include Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Pink, Faith Evans, folk group America, Carole King, Huey Lewis, ‘NSYNC and Backstreet Boys. This event will be broadcast on ABC on November 1.

‘Concert For New York’ To Raise Funds Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Macy Gray, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, the Who, Billy Joel, Marc Anthony, U2, Destiny’s Child, Elton John, David Bowie, Jay-Z, and the Backstreet Boys will perform at the Madison Square Garden for Saturday’s Concert For New York. Prices for the tickets start at $250 and will benefit those affected by the September 11 attacks.

Part Of What’s Going On Proceeds Go To United Way Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, Mary J. Blige, Bono, Destiny's Child, Jermaine Dupri, Fred Durst, Eve, Nelly Furtado, Nona Gaye, Ja Rule, Wyclef Jean, Alicia Keys, Aaron Lewis, Lil' Kim, Jennifer Lopez, Nas, Nelly, Nsync P Diddy, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, and Michael Stipe are some of the artists who remade Marvin Gaye’s song, What’s Going On. Half of the proceeds go to the Artists Against AIDS Worldwide fund and the other half goes to the United Way September 11 fund.

Latin Song Include Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, and Gloria Estefan “El Ultimo Adios” a song produced by Emilio Estafan features the who’s who of the Latin music world including Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilerra, Shakira, José Feliciano and Tito Puente Jr. to name a few. The song, written by Estefan and Secada, will benefit victims of the September 11 attacks.

Michael Jackson To Release Charity Single The king of pop is set to release the single, What More Can I Give” a single he expects to raise over $50 million for the victims of the September 11 attacks. Mariah Carey, Ricky Martin, Tom Petty, Carlos Santana, Celine Dion, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, Usher, Julio Iglesias, Reba McEntire, Destiny's Child, Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, Mya, Luther Vandross, Brian McKnight, Aaron Carter, Jon Secada, Billy Gilman, Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman, Alejandro Sanz, Christian Castro, Olga Tañón, Juan Gabriel, Luis Miguel, Thalía, Ziggy Marley and 3LW are just of the stars to be included in this song, which will be recorded in both English and Spanish. A release date has not been announced.
