No Doubt To Release 4th Album
No Doubt will release their 4th album, entitled Rock Steady, on December 18 of this year. The diverse album was recorded in Los Angeles, Jamaica, and London and was producers Dr. Dre, former Cars frontman Ric Ocasek, reggae duo Sly and Robbie, the Neptunes, Timbaland, William Orbit, Nellee Hooper and duo Steely and Clevie to its credit.
Tony Kanal, bassist, said on RollingStone.com, “This record will change the face of pop music forever. Kind of like Star Wars.”
Former Teen Queen To Open For Teen Kings
80s pop singer Debbie Gibson will open for ‘N Sync on six dates of their Pop Odyssey tour. Gibson’s, whose hits include “Lost In Your Eyes” and “Shake Your Love,” has released her latest album, called M.Y.O.B. (Mind Your Own Business) earlier this year.

Artists To Sing For AIDS Benefit
Charlotte Church, Sinead O’Connor, Steps, A1, Atomic Kitten and Petula Clark have all been signed to sing at an October 20th charity event called “Showtime At The Stadium.” Broadway composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has granted others permission to use his material. The concert, to be held in Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, will benefit the Red Hot Organization’s AIDS Charitable Trust, which helps fun AIDS awareness programs all over the world. The show will broadcast on BBC television in the U.K. and Bravo cable TV network in the U.S.
Mariah Carey Released From Hospital
Mariah Carey has left a Connecticut hospital after checking herself in two weeks ago due to an emotional and physical breakdown. A spokesperson for the pop diva says that she is staying with her mother under the care of a doctor. She has since canceled all public appearances and will most likely not promote her movie, Glitter, set to be released on September 21, and her new album of the same name, to be released on August 21.
Women Rock For Breast Cancer Benefit
Mary J. Blige, Nelly Furtado and the Dixie Chicks are set to perform at the second annual Women Rock! concert in Los Angeles. All proceeds of the concert will go to breast cancer research. The two-hour show , which will be hosted by “The West Wing” actress Allison Janney, will be taped on October 18 at the Wiltern Theater and will air on Lifetime on October 26. India.Arie, Pat Benatar, Emmylou Harris, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Shea Seger will also perform at the event
