Teaching Your Toddler To ShareEven though the "Mines" and "My Turns" are age-appropriate behaviors for kids under 4, it can become very frustrating for parents to continually referee whenever other children are around. Developing childhood friendships is very important for toddlers, so don't limit their exposure to other children during this phase. Sometimes a little peer pressure from the others can go a long way! If your child doesn't share, he or she will soon realize that the other children will not want to share their things. This is often just the right incentive to get your child in a giving mood! Just like walking and talking are skills that children develop slowly over time, so too, is sharing.
