I knew this time would be coming, although I had not forseen how soon. I somehow imagined myself clicking away articles weekly for some years to come, each week squeeking near the deadline, and each week finding something new to share and put into words... God has other plans...
Although the future is not sketched out completely, I pray that I will find other avenues as appreciative as this one. These nine months have been amazing. I have learned so much and have gained so much in this short time; I will never be able to convey the whole premise into speech nor, writing, but please know this has been an awesome, wonderful and emotional experience. Thanks so much to those of you who have stayed a devoted reader and/or subscriber. I do have a few last things to say before I leave my tightwad corner, but before I do, please prepare for my sappy never-ending "thank you". If You Walk Away Knowing Nothing More : I would really like you to know that if you are struggling, and there doesn’t seem to be a way, it is just hiding really well on you., and so please don’t give up looking. - Re-evaluate what is important, and where your money is going. Whatever it is, there is always a cheaper way.
- Audit your way of thinking and living. Please do not compromise what you know in your heart and within your very core is right in order to make a buck. What may seem to be a solution now, will only reveal itself to be a burial later.
- When you are desperate and in need, do not be afraid to ask for help. Regardless of how many of us would care to admit it, we have all been in a dire situation of some kind or another and have all been very much in need of the support of someone at sometime. I will be forever judged and unpopular with those who disagree, but there is a reason why economic support was implemented. In likeness there is also a reason why programs such as unemployment, medical assistance, food banks, emergency shelters, and other forms of help are available.
- Should you find you need the help of others (be it by friends, family or other means), remember your true height, and do not strive to be a “Too-Tall Tightwad”. It’s easy after a while for all of us to get used to the need of a crutch, but in time, you will see the importance of walking on your own, and instead becoming a crutch for others.
