--Tightwad Personality Analysis Quiz--
*Note whichever personality type you are, please know this is a general quiz and there is always room and time for mastery; a goal some of us keep striving to reach.* Section One:Yes or NO (Yes answers are 10 points each) Would you make something yourself if it were cheaper than buying it? (ie; bread, soap or wrapping paper) [ Yes or No] Would you find a quirky or practical use for something that others would maybe just toss away? (ie; margerine, ice cream or milk containers) [Yes or No] Would you buy most name brand items ONLY if they were on sale and at a price compromable to store brand or generic? [Yes or No] Would you shop at garage sales or thrift stores to seek out something you need? [Yes or No] Are you motivated by finding the cheapest price and best quality possible in everything you buy? [Yes or No] Section Two: (Yes answers are 20 points each) Do you water down or use less than the "suggested" amount of products just to stretch the use that much further? [Yes or No] Do you bother using your rubber scraper? [Yes or No] Do you own at least one rubber scraper? [Yes or No] Do you use baking soda for at least one other use besides baking? [Yes or No] Would you buy bulk toilet paper if meant that you would be receiving at least one free roll, compared to paying normal pricing for a smaller pack? [Yes or No] Section Three: (Yes answers are 50 points) Do you peel and cook potatoes or carrots at least once a week? [Yes or No] Have you ever made your own bread? [Yes or No] Does the practice of using and washing your own cloth diapers seem acceptable to you? [Yes or No] Would you dye, or patch an article of clothing in order to extend its life? [Yes or No] Do you read anything and everything in your power (hopefully from the library or obtained cheaply) on the subject of money saving and/or frugality? [Yes or No] After adding all the points from all three sections, you are: Yes or NO 0-100 points TODDLERHOOD: You are on your way baby! You are a new tightwad in training, or a tightwad that is particuliar about how you choose to save money. Either way is okay and I think most all of us have been there. You're determination to learn is applauded, and I hope you continue to read on and pick up as much information as possible.
