The Mummy http://www.themummy.com/index.html

The ever handsome, yet boylike, Brendan Fraser portrays the heroic Rick O'Connell.

Oded Fehr as Ardeth Bey, the real reason many of us females will enjoy The Mummy.

Arnold Vosloo as Imhotep and Patricia Velazquez as Anck-Su-Namun.

I loved this movie, on it's own, as it is. Take nothing to this movie. Take no memories of endless mummy movies. Take no expectations of being terrified. Just maybe take a sense of adventure. I read many reviews of it at http://www.imdb.com and have discussed it with lots of customers. I have found that the people who did not like it had some false expectations. This movie is fun! Mostly compared to the fun of the Indiana Jones trilogy. There is adventure, there is humor, there is love and there is FUN! I could not get enough of Oded Fehr, also appearing in Cleopatra. There were quite a few comments about him the the imdb reviews as well. The website for this movie is brilliant. Just take a journey into the land of adventure for a while and enjoy the ride. There is a mummy, unlike any we have ever seen before. I thought the first 15 minutes alone were well worth the theater ticket price and have seen it on tape 3 times since then. The mere idea of seeing a "brand new" Sphinx excited me. This is an effects heavy movie, but I never minded it for an instant. So sit back, relax and let go of life and take a trip with everyone to a place and time from long ago.

Desert Heat Jean Claude Van Damme stars in this movie. I have not seen it, but it seems lately that if you've seen one of his movies from the 90s, you've seen them all. I do miss JCVD of the 80s.

Joan of Arc http://www.allianceatlantis.com/Televisi...

Leelee Sobieski gives an incredible performance as Joan D'Arc.

I enjoyed this recreation of the life of one of the greatest young women in history. The story is one we know and have heard and Leelee Sobieski is truly perfect in her portrayal of youth, innocence and conviction.

Mostly thought of as "that girl who is a young Helen Hunt", Leelee proves herself to be worthy of Ms. Hunt being known as "that woman who is an older Leelee Sobieski". She has appeared in many films: Never Been Kissed, Eyes Wide Shut, Deep Impact, and Jungle2Jungle.

The cast of this movie is quite incredible as well: Jacqueline Bisset, Powers Booths, Neil Patrick Harris, Olympia Dukakis, Jonathan Hyde, Robert Loggia, Shirley MacLaine, Peter O'Toole, Maximilian Schell, and Peter Strauss. This movie aired originally as a TV mini-series, but don't let that stop you from watching a beautiful, historical based, production.
