The Matrix http://www.matrixmovie.com This movie stars Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne. This sci-fi thriller was one of the best action movies of the summer. Some folks have had trouble keeping up with the story line a bit here and there, but it is worth seeing more than once. The script is so good that even the debatable talent of Keanu Reeves can't mess it up. Laurence Fishburne steals the show, though. He certainly has come a long way since his days in Pee-Wee's Playhouse as Cowboy Curtis, but he was Larry Fishburne then, too. Keanu was quite wonderful too, he is growing as a performer and has blossomed since his own Bill and Ted days. Don't miss this movie!!! Imagine you find out that everything you know is a lie created by machines, living off of humans and it is really 200 years in the future...what a concept, huh? Got some surfin' time on your hands? Since I was born in the 60s I have no pre-conceived notions about it and have not seen the "original". I love Steve and Goldie and found it very entertaining. This movie was based on the television show with the same name. Again, I do not really know the show, so I thought the movie was cute. I think the target audience is probably pre-teen and then it would be more fun. The hilight is the appearance of the TV original martian. Next week, The Mummy, Joan of Arc, and Jerry Seinfeld's...I'm Telling You For The Last Time.
