I believe the author is trying to point out that Teresa Heinz Kerry is anti-American - This is proved by showing that she not only became a Democrat (bad enough), but that through the mysterious "Tides Foundation" she gives her dead Republican spouse's money to groups that hate America. I'll let you make up your own mind as to whether or not registering as a Democrat makes one an enemy of the state. So, let's just talk about the Tides Foundation.
