Start With A Box Costumes
Tray cutting cardboard in a slightly flared shape for popcorn box. Make sides and connect, stapling or lacing together. Paint in red and white vertical stripes. Paint the word popcorn on the front. Make a sturdy cardboard top with a hole for your head. On the cardboard glue small Styrofoam balls in wild profusion to resemble popcorn, spray paint a pale yellow. You could glue real popcorn to a hat to carry the theme. Red or white tights and top will add to the look.
You can probably think of many products and ideas using the simple basic method. Whether using a box or creating the allusion of one add all elements possible to make it look authentic. We always want to aim for the best we can create. There is nothing worse than when someone asks and what are you supposed to be? They should know.
