Crafts Make Your Theme Party Great

Our descriptions of theme parties usually include some do-it yourself ideas that you can make from scratch. Here are a few more ways to use craft ideas easily found on many sites on the net.

Crafts can be used as a way to make decorations, party favors, costumes, gifts, or as an activity at the party itself. Do not overlook any of the possibilities and keep checking for new ideas.

I found too many great craft sites to mention, but these few all tickled my fancy in some way. The first one is Craftown at http://www.craftown.com/ I liked the Stone Place Cards and thought they would be both a great decoration for your table or a simple project for the kids. They are made from aquarium stones they would be perfect for the Under the Sea party. I liked the easy Party Baskets that could hold small toys or wrapped candy. The Victorian Wedding Favors could be used for the little girls Tea Party filled with pastel mints or small barrettes for their hair. They had lots of Halloween stuff including a Paper- Mache Mask which would be as much fun to make as to wear.

Next stop was Arts N Crafts. You will find them at http://www.inmotion-pcs.com/amass/thebos... Here I found some very simple children's crafts such as Egg carton flowers, Ocean in a Jar, Cardboard Roll Baskets for party favors and giant Greeting Cards. I thought the flowers would be pretty for any party focussing on spring or make believe or the Gardening one. Ocean in a Jar could be a fun favor to make and take. This might be a good one for a Tropics Party or maybe the Pirates Party.

Making Friends & Other Crafts for Kids can be found at http://www.makingfriends.com/

There are lots of ideas here. I love the one where kids get to make a friend. These could be used as decorations or games for many parties. They would be great for the Diversity Party if they were dressed in different native costumes. They had a few nice craft ideas for making costumes. Be sure to check them out.

Family Fun.Com has crafts for almost every holiday. There are bunny baskets for tiny kids to make and a paper mache egg that might be suitable for older kids. I like the simple candy sleigh for a children's Christmas party favor. There is a fun Dragon's mask just in time for Halloween. My favorite offering here is the Halloween milk jug Skeleton. I know I'll be making one of those. See what you can find at http://www.familyfun.com
