In my articles "Going to School: Theatre, Education, and the Web" and "Still Going to School: A follow-up" I discussed websites devoted to schools, colleges and universities, or sites designed to help you find them. I talked about how, although there were sites that allowed you to search for American schools and universities by major, sites that took an international view lacked such a search feature. John Hammell's All About College website suffers the same failing as the other international sites (you hear that, John?), but does enjoy a clean, clear interface. If you're looking for websites for schools from Arizona to Zambia, the All About College makes them a link away. Also readily available are direct email addresses for many US admission offices. You may also find his associated sites of interest: All About Grad School, devoted to, um, graduate schools, with a "geographic directory of graduate schools in the United States" broken down by business, engineering, law and medical emphasis; and GreekChat.net, which lists links to fraternity and sorority homepages. He also maintains a group of College chat rooms.
My article "Finding the Reviews: Links to sites containing theatre reviews" was broken out primarily into professional and amateur categories. Because his site lacks any biographical information it's hard to figure out how to categorize David Roberts' Theatre Reviews Limited website. His enthusiasm and positiveness would lead you to believe he was of the passionate fan ilk; the clarity and careful thought of his writing, however, would tend to make you think otherwise. So let's skip the categorization and call his writing enthusiastic, positive, clear and thoughtful. Check out his many reviews yourself. C U @ the Theatre! Go To Page: 1 |
