In Philadelphia, the Vagabond Acting Troupe of Morgantown, PA, revives their version, A Vagabond Christmas Carol. December 19 - 22.

For the ninth straight year, the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera (PA) presents A Musical Christmas Carol. December 7 - 23.

City Nights Dinner Theatre of Pawtucket, RI, offers their version, directed by Ernest J. Medeiros, for the 17th year. November 24 - December 23 (roast beef instead of turkey on November 24 & 25).

Trinity Rep of Providence, RI, has a production, directed by Kevin Moriarty. November 11 - December 24.

Larry "Scrooge" Cashion, writes to tell us that the Harbor Playhouse, located in Corpus Christi, performs a version by Sheldon Harnick and Michel Legrand. December 1 - 17 (with possible extension to the 23rd). (no link)

Leave small children at home for Elizabeth Ware's The Heart of Christmas, inspired by A Christmas Carol and Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness, presented by the Core Performance Manufactory. December.

The Dallas Theater Center of Dallas, TX, presents an adaptation by their Artistic Associate, Preston Lane, and their Associate Director, Jonathan Moscone (who also directs). November 24 - December 24.

Houston, TX's Alley Theatre presents an adaptation by its director, Stephen Rayne, complete with "fantastic" sets and "hi-tech" projections. November 24 - December 31.

Phil Grecian's adaptation is presented by the Sam Bass Community Theatre of Round Rock, TX, directed by Lynn Beaver. December 8 - 16.

Under the direction of Richard G. Wilkins, the Hale Centre Theatre of West Valley City, UT, has been called "life changing"! December 2 - 23.

In Burke, VA, the American Music Stage's version is performed in Annandale and (in cooperation with the Mount Vernon High Drama Boosters in Alexandria. December 1 - 10 (Annandale), December 15 - 17 (Alexandria).

Vpstart Crow's New Dominion Shakespeare Festival of Manassas, VA, makes their stab with an adaptation by Timothy Shaw. November 24 - December 23.

For the 12th year, the Wayside Theatre of Middletown, VA, performs an adaptation, although this year's version includes "more music and a different presentational style." November 29 ­ December 24.

Whitman College's Harper Joy Theatre (Walla Walla, WA) presents Frank Barrie as Scrooge in An Actor's Christmas Carol. (Believe it or not) February 28 - March 4, 2001.

The Old Brick Playhouse of Elkins, WV, performs Doris Baizley's adaptation. December 7 - 10.

CTM Madison Family Theatre Company (Madison, WI) offers a version adapted and directed by Nancy Thurow. (Rather than the CTM site, you'll find more detailed information about the production at MadStage.) November 24 - December 23.
