1999 NY Theatrical Awards (Updated 6/8)

It's time once again for the famous VERY, VERY BIG, LARGE LIST OF NEW YORK THEATRICAL AWARDS. The past two years' listings proved so popular we're making this an annual event (thus making ourselves eligible for a "Best Revival of a Pointless List" award).

Check this page frequently since the award season is fast and furious, with updates appearing as quickly as possible. To see where we're at, check this following space for current currency:

New Additions:
At last! The Tonys! (Now we're just waiting on the FANY's....)
Previous Additions:
The somewhat delayed Drama Desk winners (begone, before someone drops a house on you!).
AND: The Obies!
At viewer request we added a Part IV, Out-of-Town a.k.a. non-New York awards to handle some of the other major awards.

Note that the winners (after they've been announced) will be marked in red. (Also note that there are links to the Drama Desk, Obie, FANY, and Tony Awards sites, as well as links to press releases about others.) The chart is organized around the Tony categories; I apologize for omitting any of your favorite categories and/or loved ones.

Due to changes in Suite 101 format, the lists will now appear somewhat off the beaten track, on separate pages. This will allow the charts to go "full screen." The awards have been split over two different pages for faster loading and scrolling -- plus a third page to accommodate several uncategorizable awards (such as the Pulitzer, Obie, and TheatreWorld awards) as well as categories of other awards that simply refuse to fit into the charts.
