Here, in one place (well, three actually), are all of the major recent New York theatre awards -- nominees and winners (if the awards have been presented yet). They are presented in a table form so you can see the categories side by side. Compare and contrast 'em. Decide for yourself who's snubbing whom, who's been slandered, who's been overlooked.

These are current as of June 2, 1997. Note that the winners are marked in red. (Also note that there are links to the Drama Desk, Obie, and Tony Awards sites, as well as links to press releases about the others.) The chart is organized around the Tony categories; I apologize for omitting any of your favorite categories and/or loved ones.

The awards have been split over two different pages for faster loading and scrolling. Click here for Part II; here for Part III.

How lucky for you to get that preview. Yes, The Beauty Queen of Leenane has done remarkably well. Let's hope it sticks around long enough for everyone to see it!

Stephen, Hats off for creating that neat table of awards. The biggest winner of all these awards to date is probably the New York Times--the full-page ads this Sunday alone are mind-boggling when you ...
