TALES...COY'S LONE STAR WEB GUIDETALES FROM THE WEST TEXAS DUST "HOLIDAY SEASON" EVENT SPECIAL: COY'S LONE STAR WEB GUIDE FOR THINGS XMAS IN TEXAS Howdy to ya'll again! Now, as I have mentioned in the past during previous articles, I am not necessarily one that observes Christmas AT ALL! (Yes, I am a Scrooge and a humbug-but NOT for the reasons you might think. Since the reasons are more theological in nature AND they are not directly pertinent to what I wish to talk about in this edition, I will not take the time AGAIN to go in-depth into them. Just understand that I write this solely from this viewpoint.) But knowing that there may obviously be people that do observe this holiday with some sort of zest and verve that surf here and that they might wish to do so with a bit of a Texas accent, I feel it incumbent on myself as a responsibility and public service to you, the reader, as your Texas Web tour guide to provide you with a few ways that might be useful to ya'll as you observe the upcoming holiday season. (Plus, I'm trying to kill article space and time until I can provide you with something a little more interesting--so thereby the REAL reason I write this!) So for the "Holiday Season" event here at the Suite, I took a quick look at a few links from Yahoo (THE OFFICIAL SEARCH ENGINE OF THE TEXAS CULTURE/POLITICS SECTION OF THE SUITE!) and came up with a few ideas from the Web that make up this edition of COY'S LONE STAR WEB GUIDE to all things Xmas in Texas. Hope all of what follows is of some use to ya'll. Without further adieu, let's dive into it! First, as your mind starts contemplating the season ahead, you wind up staring at an obvious roadblock--YOU NEED A TREE AND P.D.Q. FAST!! What's a Websurfer to do? Never despair, my friend! The following sites might be of some help in helping you find the tree that's just your size: Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association - This side includes farm locations throughout Texas and background on the types of trees grown. [ http://www.texaschristmastrees.com ] Kelumac Christmas Tree Farm - This place apparently sells Virginia pines, wreaths, tree stands, and more. [http://www.kelumac.com ] Mill Hollow Christmas Tree Farm-http://members.aol.com/hellonurse/page1.... Ivanhoe Christmas Tree Farm-http://members.aol.com/epdion/ivan.htm Watson Christmas Tree Farm-http://www.members.home.net/drewtodd/wat... AND EVEN ONE PLACE THAT TOPS THE CAKE IN TREES!! (ONLY in Texas will you find Xmas trees sold alongside oilfield equipment!):
