Speaking of turkey (lest we forget), now it's time for the most important thing (and, no, I'm not talking about grace before mealtimes)--THE FOOD, THE FOOD!! Here's some great food sites that I found that would be perfect for today:
(2.) If your appetite for turkey, though, is a little bit on the wilder, sexier, and sacreligious side, I found (shall we say) something that's up your alley. (You can't say that I don't try to offer something for everyone here at the ranch!) Some lady wrote an article at http://salonmagazine.com/mwt/feature/199... about her experiences with (bleep forbid) spicy Cajun FRIED gobbler? (Sounds absolutely kinky and weird to me, in my opinion--but different strokes for different folks, I guess.) (3.) But if your appetite has been whetted for food that is uniquely Texican, then you might find http://www,eatsanddrinks.com/hol_cook.htm more to your liking. It seems to be a good recipe cookbook for such quintessential favorites as Texas caviar, tamales, roast venison backstrap, chocolate chess pie, and margarita balls. (Talk about wasting away in Margaritaville--oops, I meant Turkeyville!) It also contains a few restuarant reviews on top of it. (4.) If your idea of Thanksgiving, though, is more along the lines of living high on the hog instead of a stuffed turkey, one site out in Richardson called http://www.hamiam.com might prove to be a good place to buy the bacon and save the environment and the wild animals if you prefer. (5.) Okay, we've stuffed ourselves silly with turkey and we've gotten a little bit off our diet. Still wish to make your Turkey Day meal somewhat of a healthier one on balance? You might find the answer by going towards http://www.vt.com/citrus where you can find citrus and other fruits as well as sweet treats for the sweet (and even make those purchases as secure online transactions)! Now--those are some sites that you can really be thankful for! Happy Turkey Day and gobble, gobble!! From your faithful reporter in the West Texas dust, Coy Reece Holley Go To Page: 1 2
