Website Review: Racquety Yak

Racquety Yak has just hit the virtual airwaves as one of the newest and most interactive sites for tennis lovers. In addition to instructional tips and a shopping portal, the site provides an online tennis community for people who are passionate about tennis.

The site, conceived of by Matt and Diane Galemmo, is a place "where tennis fans interact". Matt is a USPTR Certified Instructor, and Diane is a life-long tennis fan and player. Together with ZuccaDesign, they have created Racquety Yak for tennis enthusiast everywhere.

According to Galemmo, Racquety Yak is an "online tennis community, where the fan's participation is not only encouraged, but essential. People passionate about tennis can use this public forum to voice their opinions in a wide variety of manners, including message boards, live chat, and story submissions for publication. Share your glee (or disgust) for your favorite player's most recent performance, or rip into that shoe company that put a blight on our sole".

"Participate in polls, quizzes and contests. Gain symbols of respect to be worn as medals in your personal profile. Share your thoughts with your peers, and maybe even learn a thing or two. In this community, you earn your place by articulating your love of the game."

The chat lines at Racquety Yak are open all the time, so stop by and say "hi". There is a moderated live chat every Tuesday at noon and Thursday at 4PM (times EST).
