Cast of "Becker" Sues Paramount

© F. Colin Kingston

The five co-stars of the CBS series "Becker" are suing Paramount Studios claiming that the studio has failed to make good on an oral promise to renegotiate their salary. Co-stars Shawnee Smith, Hatie Winston, Terry Farrell, Saverio Guerra and Alex Desert are involved in the legal action.

Star Ten Danson is not involved, but the "Becker" co-stars are obviously hoping to have financial success similar to the cast of NBCs "Friends" when that entire cast banded together to try and get a hefty pay raise.

Almost a month ago the actors staged a one-day sick out hoping to get Paramount to increase their pay. Paramount officials retaliated by sending a doctor to their home and threatening legal action. The "Becker" co-stars returned to work the next day.
