Epic Attila Mini-Series Conqueors the USA Cable NetworkAttila and his ability to unite the Huns. The once mighty Roman Empire is crumbling at this time in history. The leadership knows that they are vulnerable to takeover if Attila can unite the Huns and mount a full-scale attack. The USA Network is to be commended for attempting a mini-series of this scope and size. No expense was sparred in the production. Filming took place in Lithuania and literally involved a cast of hundreds, including part of the Lithuanian army! The production team includes a variety of Academy Award and Emmy winning personnel. Dick Lowry does a wonderful job of directing. One caveat, however. ATTILA is not be for young children or those who dislike violence. There is considerable bloodshed. There are also brief scenes of Roman orgies as well. Though nobody is nude, and the shots are tastefully done, the scenes do strongly convey the sense of what is happening. ATTILA airs on January 30 and 31 from 9 - 11 p.m. (PST and ET) on the USA Cable Network. If you like historical tales, epic battles, and romance, you will enjoy ATTILA. . I can't recommend it highly enough. For more information on ATTILA, please see http://www.usanetwork.com. Final Thoughts: Do you have a television related web site that you'd like me to review?
