Editor's Note: Before I get to my regular column this week I'd like to invite all Suite101.Com members to participate the CHARLIE'S ANGELS Trivia Contest. This is my first-ever contest here at the U.S. Television Section of Suite101.Com and I'm very excited about it.

Fans of the classic series are invited to answer as many of the 11 trivia questions as they can about television's most glamorous detectives. The contest runs September 13th thru November 17, 2000.

The prize for the most correct answers is a copy of the newly published book entitled CHARLIE'S ANGELS CASEBOOK by Jack Condon and David Hofstede. The forward is by former Angel Jaclyn Smith. My thanks to Pomegranate Press for donating the book. For information on how you can order this book yourself, please see http://www.pompress.com

A Review of THE FUGITIVE

Few shows of the new season were as eagerly anticipated as this CBS remake of the classic ABC series THE FUGITIVE. Fortunately for fans of the original series, original creator Roy Huggins (MAVERICK and THE ROCKFORD FILES) is a creative consultant on this series as well.

Tim Daly (WINGS) does an admirable job in the starring role as Dr. Richard Kimble, a man wrongly convicted of killing his beloved wife. Mykelti Williamson (FREE WILLY) co-stars as Lt. Phillip Gerard, the police detective who investigated the murder and believes that Kimble is absolutely guilty of the crime for which he was convicted.

The pilot opened with Kimble being transferred to maximum- security prison for his pending execution. Williamson, ever the thorough cop, is on hand to personally escort Kimble to "the big house."

On the way to the prison the van carrying Kimble and Gerard is involved in a serious traffic accident and flips over. (The original series and the feature film had the two involved in a train accident. Wisely, this remake chose to go a different route here.)

Kimble escapes and starts his search for the elusive "one-armed man," the person Kimble saw who actually killed his wife. Gerard is soon in hot pursuit of Kimble. This sets up the premise for the remainder of the series.
