GROSSE POINT, airing Friday evenings from 8:30 to 9 p.m.
This is a spoof of teenage soaps. The producers have excellent credentials for this series as creator Darren Star was one of those responsible for Beverly Hills 90210.
HYPE, airing Sunday evenings from 9 to 9:30 p.m. This is the WB's attempt at a sketch comedy series along the lines of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and MAD TV. Other changes at the WB: The WB picked up two series for next season that were cancelled by other networks. THE PJ'S, a clay-animated comedy series, comes over from FOX and airs on Sundays from 7 to 7:30 p.m. SABRINA: THE TEENAGE WITCH comes over from ABC and will air on Fridays from 8 to 8:30 p.m. ROSWELL returns for a second season and will air on Mondays from 9 to 10 p.m. following 7TH HEAVEN. CHARMED moves to Thursdays from 9 to 10 p.m. POPULAR moves to Fridays from 9 to 10 p.m. The WB has come up with a novel way to avoid viewer drop-off for reruns for two of their series. FELICITY, which sees ratings nosedive for their reruns, will air 11 consecutive episodes. After those are finished, 13 new episodes of JACK AND JILL will replace it in the same time period. Both series will air on Wednesdays from 9 to 10 p.m. Final Thoughts:Do you have a television related website that you'd like me to review? Do you have a television trivia question that you'd like me to answer? If so, please send an e-mail to F_Colin_Kingston@suite101.com. Until next week, happy viewing!
