The Fall Television Season Is Almost Here

The television section at Suite101.Com is gearing up for our annual Fall Television Preview. In the coming weeks we will provide you of previews and reviews of all the new shows on each of the broadcast networks. We will get to as many of the new cable and syndicated shows as possible as well.

These past few months haven't been the easiest for me as I've had two close family members pass away. Both died after long illnesses. Unfortunately, some of my duties suffered here as I was the one person taking care of things for the family while both family members were critically ill. I apologize to all of our members for the lack of new links etc. in the past few weeks. I promise things will be back up to speed beginning with the Labor Day Column.

In the meantime, if your have questions regarding any of the new fall series, or a question about a returning favorite of yours, please drop me a line. I will answer it in e-mail or in my column, whichever your prefer. Thanks for your patience!

This Week in TV History:September 1, 1952 saw the premiere of ART LINKLETTER'S HOUSE PARTY. The series began in radio and ended up as the longest running daily variety in television history running into the early 1970s. The highlight of the show was an interview segment which Linkletter did with four schoolchildren.
