The award-winning anthology series, which aired in the 50s, featured many of the top names in show business as guest stars. It also featured the professional debuts of many people who are now top name directors and actors.
The marathon begins at 12:00 a.m. and continues through 12:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13th. The first episode in the marathon features guest star Bette Davis as a wealthy woman who wrongly accuses a young man of theft and ruins several lives in the process.
The marathon concludes with an episode starring E.G. Marshall as a husband who sets out to kill his adulterous wife only to end up tied up to his own homemade bomb with he is mugged and tied up by a burglar.
Peter Fonda, Burt Reynolds, Steve McQueen, Robert Redford and Ron Howard are just some of the notable guest stars featured in this special birthday tribute. The marathon also contains episodes directed by Sydney Pollack and Robert Altman. Most of the episodes shown here were directed by Hitchcock himself.

Viewers Try to Rescue HOMICIDEFew television dramas have been as critically acclaimed as the NBC drama HOMICIDE. Over the years the series received 4 Emmy awards (17 total Emmy nominations) and three Peabody Awards, among many others.
HOMICIDE was cancelled at the end of last season but fans of the series are trying to revive it. They have launched a webstie called http://www.savehomicide.com.
Fans visiting the site can sign an online petition to save the series (they had over 3,500 signatures as of earlier this week); generate campaign letters to save the series; contribute to a fund to take out ads in the Hollywood trades etc.
