From the world of sports ESPN is showcasing a weekly program on the 50 greatest athletes of the century. Each week the network spotlights an athlete whom their panel of experts have determined to be one of the 50 most influential athletes of the past 100 years.

This week ESPN is focusing on the athlete they deam to be the 47th most influential athlete of the century - track star Edwin Moses. Over a ten-year span Moses won an incredible 122 consecutive races.

Said reporter/broadcaster Keith Jackson, one of the experts assisting with the series, "If there ever was an athlete that won with intimidation it was Edwin. His shadow was so big, when he hunkered down in the starting blocks it was tough to beat him for a long time." The program airs Friday, February 12th at 10:30 p.m. EST.
