Appointment Television is Back, As Are the NFL Playoffs"Lost" is from "Alias" and "Felicity" creator J.J. Abrams and is one of the surprise hits of the new season. Airing Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC, the series follows the lives of a group of plane crash survivors who find themselves on a mysterious island. As with "Alias," nothing is what it first appears, including the characters. For more information on "Lost" please visit http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index.h... "Alias" stars Jennifer Garner (currently starring in "Elecktra" on the big screen) as CIA agent Sydney Bristow. This series has a superb cast and, until late last season, top notch writing. Producer J.J. Abrams promised to fix "Alias" this season and I am taking him at his word. ABC wisely decided to air the fourth season of "Alias" right after "Lost." So far the move has paid off. The fourth season premiere drew 15.8 million viewers, a series record. For more information about "Alias" please visit http://abc.go.com/primetime/alias/index.... "24" has become my favorite drama on television. Each episode follows an hour in the life of Counter Terrorism Agent Jack Bauer, perfectly played by Keiffer Southerland. (Each season takes place over the course of a single day.) The series fourth season premiere debuted to record numbers as well - 15.36 million viewers - a 20% improvement over last season. "24" has a new day and time also, Mondays at 9 p.m. on FOX. For more information on "24" please visit http://www.fox.com/24/ What are your nominees for appointment television?
