This week in television history: Prior to his role in Taxi, Judd Hirsch starred in the detective series Delvecchio. Hirsch played Sgt. Dominick Delvecchio. Future "Hill Street Blues" alumnus Charles Haid played his partner, Sgt. Paul Shonski. Michael Conrad, another "Hill Street" alumnus, played Lt. Macavan. The police series only last one season.
