There are several programs worth noting this week. Three of them are on at the same time. It's always feast or famine, isn't it?

Due to the president's prime time press conference last Tuesday, FOX was forced to move a new episode of its spy-thriller "24" to Sunday, April 18 at 9 p.m. Unfortunately, that means that it is going head to head against a new episode of ABC's spy-thriller "Alias."

These are my two favorite shows. Thank God for VCRs. (I haven't gotten TiVo yet, but I hope to soon.) For information on "24" please visit http://www.fox.com/24/ For information on "Alias" please visit http://abc.go.com/primetime/alias/

Spying isn't the only thing going on Sunday at 9 p.m. PBS is debuting the first part of a new "Prime Suspect" mini-series. Helen Mirren returns in her Emmy-winning role as Inspector Tennisen. Faced with mounting pressure to retire, Tennisen finds herself battling a death squad trying to unleash the horrors of the Balkan civil war on London.

The mini-series is part of the PBS ExxonMobil Masterpiece Theater series. For more information please visit http://www.pbs.org/masterpiece/primesusp...

PBS newsmagazine examines Al Qaeda The Peabody and Emmy-winning PBS newsmagazine "Frontline" continues its examination of Al Qaeda with a profile of Abdurahan Khad. This former member of Al Qaeda ended up becoming an informant for the CIA. The series airs Thursday, April 22 from 9 - 10 p.m. Check your local listings for the exact time and place in your area.
