February 6, 1977 saw the debut of "The Nancy Drew Mysteries" on ABC. Based on the books by Carolyn Keene, the series starred Pamela Sue Martin as 18-year-old amateur detective. She was the son of famed criminal lawyer Carson Drew (William Schallert). Along the way Drew solved cases with her best friend George (a girl) and Ned.

Nancy Drew teamed up with "The Hardy Boys" and became a successful tandem for ABC. There even several crossover episodes with Nancy helping out the Hardy Boys.
