Williams played a duel role in this Disney series, which debuted on October 10, 1957 on ABC. By day Williams was Don Diego, son of a wealthy California rancher. By night he donned cape and mask to become Zorro, a mysterious hero who fought to right wrongs in 1820s California. Gene Sheldon played Bernardo, Don Diego's loyal manservant and the only person who knew Diego's secret identity.
