The five original cast members of "Design Women" are reunited for an upcoming special for the "Lifetime" cable network. Series stars Delta Burke (Suzanne), Dixie Carter (Julia), Annie Potts (Mary Jo), Jean Smart (Charlene) and Meshach Taylor (Anthony) reminisce about their favorite episodes and share memories of the popular 90s sitcom.

The special will also feature taped interviews with series co-stars Hal Holbrook (real-life husband of Dixie Carter), Gerald McRaney (Burke's real-life husband), Richard Gilliland (Smart's real-life husband) and Doug Barr.

The series, once a popular staple on the CBS comedy lineup, went through a bit of turmoil due to a contract dispute between Burke and the producers. All seems forgiven for the reunion episode, however. The 90-minute special airs on Monday, July 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the "Lifetime" cable network.

The cable drama "Six Feet Under" leads all series with 16 nominations. "The West Wing" follows right behind with 15. "Everybody Loves Raymond," "Sex and the City," and "The Sopranos" are tied at 13 nominations a piece. Two of my favorite series, "24" and "Alias" have 11 and 10 nominations respectively.

This year's ceremony will be televisied September 21 on FOX. For a complete listing of Emmy nominees, visit the official Web site at http://www.emmys.tv/primetime/2003/award...

USA network offers viewers summer refuge: For most networks summer means a time of reruns and less than stellar programming. Not so on the USA network. Viewers tuning into USA are treated to two of the best series on television, "Monk" and "

"Monk" stars Emmy-nominated actor Tony Shalhoub as the neurotic yet brilliant detective Adrian Monk. It is the best television detective series since "Columbo" and adeptly mixes drama, great stories and comedy. The series airs Friday evenings at 10 p.m. EST as part of USA's "Crime Friday." USA's other great summer series, "The Dead Zone" stars former "Breakfast Club" co-star and "Saturday Night Live" cast member Anthony Michael Hall. Waking up after nearly six years in a comma, he finds that he can see visions of the future. The series is based on the Stephen King novel and airs Sunday evenings at 10 p.m. EST.
