Motivation: Part of being motivated is maintaining your desire to work at home and therefore meet your employer's goals. It also includes understanding your peak work hours and conditions and taking advantage of them. Out-of-the-Box Thinking: Work-at-home employees enjoy a level of freedom many others don't. In order to meet the demands of the job, a certain amount of independent and critical thinking as well as creativity are needed. You don't have the advantage of a supervisor at hand to answer questions or give feedback. Being able to use resources and problem solve are necessary skills to working at home. Working at home is successful only when you work. Because the work-at-home environment is so unstructured and unsupervised, you need to be able to organize, set up routines and stay on task. Master those skills, and there isn't much you can't do.
