1. Contact the Better Business Bureau located in the same area as the company. Call information for the number or visit the BBB on-line at http://www.bbb.org.
2. Contact the Federal Trade Commission on-line at http://www.ftc.gov. This is good place to start any research as it lists past and current investigations of consumer scams.
3. Contact the Attorney General's Office in the state in which the company is located.
