My Farewell

Well folks, this is my last article. I’ll be changing topics soon, so I’ll post my new column name later. So here’s my last advice to people. Turn off the TV and go outside! If it’s winter, bundle up! Just get off the sofa and do something!

I’ve recently polled a few of my friends about three different things, and here’s what they decided: On the question ‘Do you think there is too much violence on TV?’ three said no, while nine said yes. On the question ‘Which TV station do you watch the most?’ with the choices A: Cartoon Network. B: Disney. And C: Nick, seven said A, 2 said B, and 3 said C. On the last question ‘What type of show’s do you watch the most? A: Mystery, B: Action, or C: Comedy.’ One said A, five said B, and six said C.

If you ‘re watching a show with your kid, and aren’t sure if they should be watching, use this simple point system. Give it two points if they use crude words, past the basic slang. Give it five whole points for killing, but only 3 ½ for any violence. Give it seven points for nudity, and four for immodest (Skimpy) clothes. Add two points for crude gestures or comments. If you get to five points or more, than kids under seven should turn it off. If you get to ten, kids under eleven should turn it off. If you get to at least eighteen, it’d probably be rated R.

Thanks for all your time and patience, as well as all your feedback… well… most of it. The life as a critic has been interesting, nonetheless. I look forward to hearing from all of you again on my new topic. Until later, I’m Nicholas Bittner.
