Pokemon is a cartoon about these magical creatures called Pokemon. Pokemon are basically just normal animals, only they have certain powers. Things like flight, water, fire and ice. There are over two hundred and fifty Pokemon. It would take forever to name them all, so I'll just name of some of the ones that are used the most in the show. Charmander is a fire pokemon, who evolves into Charmeleon, then Charizard. Squirtle is a water Pokemon, and evolves into Wartortle then Blastoise. Bulbasaur is a grass type/poison type. It evolves into Ivysaur then Venusaur. Caterpie is a bug type Pokemon. It evolves into Metapod and then Butterfree. Pikachu is an electric Pokemon, and is very cute until it evolves into the powerful Raichu. Minki is a fighting Pokemon, and is very tough. It evolves into the extremely powerful Primeape, who won't stop hunting you down after you look into it's eyes. Pidgey is a flying/normal Pokemon. It evolves into Pidgeotto, who evolves into Pidgeot, a very powerful Pokemon. It can fly at speeds up to Mach two. Krabby is a water type, who evolves into Kingler. Grimer is a poison type Pokemon, and evolves into Muk. The Pokemon I just named are the ones that at one time or another, Ash, the hero, captures. The main characters that are Human are Ash, Misty and Brock. However, during the series Brock leaves, but then comes back. While he’s gone, Tracy comes in, and stays with the group even when Brock returns. The bad guys are Team Rocket, but the regiment Ash runs into the most is the one with Jesse and James and Meowth. The Pokemon that they own are Koffing, who evolves into Weezing, and Ekans, who evolves into Arbok, Weepinbell, and Lickitung. Ash is a ten-year-old boy whose lifelong goal is to become the worlds greatest Pokemon master. Once you turn ten, you can get your beginner's Pokemon licence. He is traveling with his friends Brock, Tracy, and Misty, trying to earn eight badges so that he can enter the Johto league, a prestigious league for the best Pokemon to compete in. Misty is the girl who insists on following Ash and claims that it's because he wrecked her bike while trying to save Pikachu from a flock of Spearow in the first episode. Brock is a tough Pokemon trainer whose goal is to become the world's greatest Pokemon breeder. An expert chef, he’s the mother-type that takes care of the others. Tracy is an artist, who draws Pokemon, and his goal was to meet Professor Oak.Ash's enemies are from Team Rocket. Jesse is a very conceited lady, whose supreme goal is to capture all of the rarest Pokemon, including Ash's Pikachu. James is an overconfident young man who has the same goal. Meowth a Pokemon that can speak the human language, yet it also understands all the other Pokemon. Meowth has the same goal as Jesse and James, but is usually the one who gives away their secrets and messes up their plans. The TV rating is Y7, and I think that's a good rating. However, a lot of the Pokemon look pretty scary, like Gengar and Haunter. If parents are considering letting there kids watch it, they should watch two or three episodes with them first. The Pokemon game’s are out in stores, On game boy as well as N64. You can go to the Pokemon web page to learn more about it.
