Beast Machines

Beast Machine's is a computer generated show about a group of robot's fighting an evil group of robots. This series takes place just after the popular series Beast Wars, and mostly has the same characters. But now that they're back on Cybertron, they learn of an evil disease that wiped out nearly all of the organic matter on the planet, and destroying the entire population except one.

The main characters are mostly the same from Beast War's, but some take a new name and body. The characters are Optimus Primal, Cheetor, Rattrap, Black Arachnia, Tankcor, Jetstorm, Thrust, Nightscream, and Megatron. Optimus Primal is the same charismatic leader of the Maximals, (The good guy's,) and still doesn't take well to insubordinate troops. Cheetor has taken a slightly different swing since the last series. Now, instead of a young rookie, he's a grown and seasoned fighter, and thinks he should be in charge. He's now the one that fights with Optimus, and tries to use different tactics. Rattrap is still the smart mouthed rat he was before, one that doesn't really like taking risks, but still up for a good fight. He's now the only really sensible one, wedging himself in between Optimus and Cheetor's fights. Black Arachnia is still a spider that, while still on the side of the Maximal's, uses slightly roguish "tactics". While not quite as susceptible to rash actions as Cheetor once was, she still does things without the consent of Optimus. Tankcor is a slow, dim vehicon, one of Megatron's goons. At first he has a limited vocabulary, but later Optimus awaken's his true self. Tankcor is really Rhinox! But now he's a bad guy, loyal to neither Megatron or Optimus. Jetstorm is a smart mouthed vehicon that is dead loyal to Megatron, but he's actually Silverbolt, Black Arachnia's lover. Thrust is a jealous Motorcycle vehicon, and is also loyal to Megatron, and his true spark is Waspinators. While not as strong or smart as Jetstorm, he's still deadly. Nightscream is the sole survivor from Cybertron, and took on the form of a bat, and decided quickly to fight against Megatron with the Maximals. Megatron is still the head bad guy, but now he's trying to purge his system of his beast mode.

All in all, it's not that bad a show, very interesting, what with the new body's on most of your favorite characters. The TV rating is Y7, and that's about right. I think that kids under eight or nine shouldn't watch it, but that's just my opinion. Parent's should watch about three to four episodes first, before letting your kids watch it freely.
