The Magic School Bus

The Magic School Bus is an educational show created to teach kids science in an interesting way. I find that even adults and older kids (namely teenagers), also find it interesting enough to watch willingly. The only things that really turn people off are the corny lines, outdated slang, (such as one of the character's favorite lines "Weasley Wimps"), and that the characters scream at most everything.

The main characters in this popular educational series are Miss Frizzle, Wanda, Carlos, Tim, Ralphy, Dorothy Ann, Phoebe, Kiesha, Arnold, Janet, and Liz. Miss Frizzle is, of course, the teacher, who seems to have magic powers, either that or a limitless school budget. I'm a little curious as to how the class learns, what with their teacher doing nothing but taking them on field trips. They never learn math, English, or reading.

Wanda is the one student that tries to never give up, and push the others to their limits. While she seems to be a wimp herself, she does try to act brave.

Carlos is the comedian in the class and he usually gets some annoying comments from his pathetic jokes. He almost always remains cheerful, even in the midst of failure.

Tim is probably the most quiet and reserved of them all. An expert as video technology, he usually works the camera when the class does movies.

Ralphy is the most cocky, thinking that he's really strong, yet he isn't the best student. His idea's are usually corny, prone-to-failure, and ineffective, but still, he tries.

Dorothy Ann is the most intelligent, researching type, who's most used phrase is "According to my research...". She always seems to have one book in her bag that always has the most obvious facts about whatever they happen to be learning that day.

Phoebe is new to Miss Frizzle's class, because she transferred in after the school year started. She is always saying on the field trips "In my old school, we never...", no matter what unusual thing they're doing.

Kiesha is the one that usually tries the hardest, to get better at everything. Though the class usually finds mishaps regularly, she's always there saying how bad it is.

Arnold is the worrier of the group. His most used phrase is "I knew I should have stayed home today!". He seems to say that every day, so what's he gonna do, stay home for the rest of the school year?
