Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers

Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers is a animated show about the Chipmunk brothers, Chip and Dale, who formed their own rescue service. The main characters are Chip, Dale, Gadget, Monteray Jack, Fat Cat, and Sewer Al. Chip is the leader of the Rescue Rangers, and is one of the few people that can control Dale. Dale is the team's goof off, and is always getting into trouble, and relies on the other rangers to get him out of it. Gadget is the most mechanically inclined out of all of them, and she also has knack for designing little gadgets (Hence, her nickname) for the Rangers. Because she's the only female of the group, she tends to get unexpected (and sometimes unwanted) help from the others. Monteray Jack is a big mouse with a nose that can sniff out cheese a mile away! While the strongest of the rangers, he has a few problems. Namely, once he smells cheese he goes into a frenzy and even if its dangerous, he tries to get that cheese. Many a time he's gotten himself and his friends caught because of it. Fat Cat is the main villain, and, like most villains, he has a liking for gold and jewels. His favorite pastimes are gloating, wallowing in his riches, and capturing the rescue rangers. Sewer Al is Fat Cat's henchman, and isn't exactly stupid, but he's not exactly smart either. He usually just fumbles along on whatever task Fat Cat gives him.

Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers is an interesting and unusual show. Unlike most of those type of shows, the episodes are not all alike. And even though they fight crime, and still have some action, they almost never resort to violence, except when they have no other choice. I think that's interesting, because most anti-crime units usually go in there punching, kicking, beating the stuffing out of the bad guys. This is a good show for smaller kids, because it isn't very violent, it's not very scary, it has an interesting cast of characters, and it's fun to try to solve each mystery yourself.

The TV rating is Y, and I totally agree with that. The only thing you might not want is that occasionally someone nearly gets killed, and then they go to commercial and leave younger kids crying because they think he's going to die. And occasionally there is something scary like a mummy, or aliens. I think that parents should watch at least two episodes, just to get an idea of what it's like.
