Rocket Power

Rocket Power is a cartoon about a sports oriented family and their friends. Every episode promotes sports, morals, and friendship. The main characters are Otto and Reggie Rocket, their Dad, Twister, Sam, and Lars.

Otto is a confident boy that hates losing. Extremely good at most kinds of sports, and thanks to his last name, he is often called Rocketboy. His favorite pastime is skate boarding on the boardwalk. Reggie is Otto's sister, and is no less active. She's the most sensible and responsible out of the group, and is occasionally called Rocketgirl. Her favorite pastime is racing her friends down the boardwalk on her roller blades. Their dad owns a fast food joint, and is every ounce as active as his kids. His favorite pastime is surfing. Twister is Otto's best friend, and is also very active (Have you noticed a pattern in the characters yet?) His favorite pastime is boarding on the boardwalk also (Yet another pattern!) Sam is slightly less active, but is smarter than the others. What he usually does on the boardwalk (Even thought it's not his favorite pastime) is try to keep up with his friends on his blades. Lars is Twisters older brother, and is always beating on him and his friends. If you pay enough attention to Lars and his movements, you'll see he looks really wasted. He even sounds it.

In most episodes the group gets challenged to some kind of game, or they find out about a race or a tournament. It seems that if there's even a little bit of sports involved, they're there. There really aren't many places that they go in the series, except for the occasional trip to the mountains for winter sports, or to some new beach for surfing. The spend most of their time at either the Rocket house or the boardwalk.

The TV rating is Y, and I agree with that. It's really a show for all ages. They don't make crude jokes, there is rarely violence, and it teaches good messages. Parents should only watch at least one or two, though, just because they might have different views.
