Doug is a stupid show about a middle school boy named Doug, who is very naive, and always gets into either an adventure with his friends, or trouble with his enemies. There aren't that many characters, but those characters are Doug, Porkchop, Patty, Roger, Skeeter, and mister Dink.

Doug is a weird kid, who gets crazy ideas and lets his friends talk him into things. Sometimes when he gets mad he draws a comic he calls Quail man. Quail man is a weird super hero who wears his underwear on the outside, and has a belt on his head. Of course, Doug always pictures himself as Quail man, or Smash Adams, a spy. Porkchop is Doug's dog, who's practically human. He lives in an Igloo shaped doghouse, which is complete with TV, a fridge, easy chair, and artworks. Porkchop is not only a Ventriloquist, a stunt dog, Quail man's sidekick, Smash Adams' sidekick, and all around comedian, but he also does a mean impression of Doug. Patty is a girl who is great at most sports, and is an artist, and is champion at a lot of other things. Not to mention she's Doug's dream girl! Yet Doug's never had the guts to tell her. Roger is the class bully, clown, and scaredy cat. Even though he acts tough, if you stand up to him, he'll most likely chicken out. Skeeter is Doug's best friend, and is a little weird. For one thing, his skin is the color blue. He also likes to honk twice like a car before or after talking. Mister Dink is a purple guy who lives next door to Doug. He's always using some kind of device that's very expensive and often times very useless.

The show takes place in a semi average neighborhood, that is pretty normal, except for the fact that the people are just about every color you can think of. When you've seen a lot of the episodes it gets pretty boring. The show is just about some average kids in their semi-average life. The TV rating is Y, and that's a good rating. It's a very clean show, almost always appropriate for little kids. I don't think kids over ten or eleven would like it, but it's great for kids around six through nine. Parents should watch about two episodes, then judge if their kids should watch it or not. Just be warned, some episodes are a little scary for younger kids if you don't watch the entire episode. A lot of times they do something that might scare little kids, but then show that there's nothing scarey about it at the end.
