So Weird

© Nicholas Bittner

So Weird is a show about the supernatural: ghosts, Bigfoot, Aliens, things like that. Cara Delizia plays the lead role of Fiona, who usually goes by Fi. Patrick Levis plays her brother, Jack. Erik Von Detton plays Clu, their friend. Erik also stars in several other movies and television shows such as Brink, Days of our Lives and Escape To Witch Mountain. Mackenzie Phillips plays Molly Phillips, the mother of Fi and Jack. She had a role in the 70's series "One Day at a Time."

Fi is a thirteen-year-old girl that is fascinated by the mystery of the supernatural. Everywhere she goes she finds some ghost or alien that she tries to meet and help. Jack is a boy who has loads of responsibility on his shoulders. Namely, he has to keep an eye on Fi, make sure she doesn't get into trouble, make sure she doesn't get lost while chasing ghosts. Or if she needs help, he's there. Clu is practically just the short part of the name that fits him. He should be called Clueless. He's very strange, and in most episodes he's seen joking around, or making a comment about what he likes that's very strange. He eats frozen burritos without cooking them, and thinks that searching for ghosts is just a barrel of laughs. Molly is a single mother and a rock star making a comeback in singing. In the '70s she was a rock star, and now she's going on a tour of the country.

In each episode, they are in different cities around the U.S. for Molly's tour. While she's practicing or performing, Jack, Fi and Clu are usually out exploring, trying to solve some mystery about ghosts or aliens. Clu's dad, the roadie for Molly's group, always puts together curriculums for the kids, which keeps them out of trouble for at least a little while. They travel all over, and no matter if they're in a big city or a quiet little village, there's some kind of paranormal event happening.

The TV rating is Y7, and I agree with that. Children under seven might get scared, but anyone older won't get too scared.
