The Show: Survivor Network and Time: CBS, Wednesday @ 8pm The Plot: Sixteen castaways compete to be the last one standing after 39 days on a deserted island. Personal Analysis: This show is a total hit and who would have thought! Put a group of people on a deserted island and watch them fight to be the last one standing. Each week, the castaways compete twice ---- once for personal pleasures such as letters from home and delish food (a change from the humdrum meals of rice and fish) and again to receive "immunity" from being voted off the island. My guess on why this show has been such a landmark for VTV is because the viewer has the opportunity to learn more about each castaway's personality and how well they interact with one another. My Vote: 5 out of 5. The Show: Making The Band Network and Time: ABC, Friday @ 9:30 pm The Plot: Twenty-five aspiring singers are finalized to five, to form the next hottest boy band. Personal Analysis: Just when you thought you couldn't stand another boy band, out comes a show that takes you from beginning to end of the making of a band (hence the name). Not only are these five striving singers total eye candy, but it's very interesting to see them bond, episode by episode, as they deal with the stress of being the next best boy band out there. My Vote: 4 out of 5 The Show: Big Brother Network and Time: CBS, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday @ 8 pm The Plot: Ten people are stuck in a specially made house and isolated from the outside world. Personal Analysis: I personally find it very hard to get through one episode of this show. Mocking the likes of The Real World, Big Brother seems like one show we could do without. Cut from any outside contact, videocameras are strategically placed around the house to capture the interactions these total strangers make amongst themselves. Come on now, you can only have so many interesting things happen when you place a group of people out of reach from the real world. Go To Page: 1 2
