I'm sure most of us weren't even conceived when one of the most popular children's television series of all time, the original "Mickey Mouse Club" aired on ABC on October 3, 1955. The "Club" featured a group of talented, outgoing, and friendly kids, who sang, danced, and performed skits for an audience who craved more as they tuned in each day at 5pm to catch a glimpse of the hit show. Each show began with an animated segment of Donald Duck striking the Mickey Mouse Club gong and ended with Mousekartoon Time. On September 25, 1959, the show went kaput and never made a combat until the the early '70s featuring an entirely new cast. As its success eventually grew but not to the standards it had once achieved in the 50s, "The Mickey Mouse Club" made their recording debut on September 14, 1993 with the release of their self-titled album "MMC." The album featured R&B, funk, hip-hop, and the group's smooth harmonious grooves. Recorded during the hiatus of the popular television series, MMC featured 12 songs and 13 members of The Disney Channel's hit "Mickey Mouse Club" show.
It's now the '90s, and the once-hit show has spawned off many well known performers into the entertainment world, most of them making a pile o' cash and livin' large on the cover of Teen Beat.
