What's your 'Homepage'?

What is a 'Homepage?' When I tell people about my 'Homepage' I am usually talking about the pages that I create. My 'start' page is a different story. I have tried several. I've tried using the Netscape page. I've tried using Yahoo. I've switched every now and then to various pages that fit the moment, but I always come back to the personalized page that I have made on the EXCITE search engine. My Excite page.

I use this page for many things. The service switched hands a few months ago and they are slowly bringing it back. TOO slow for me, but at least they are doing it. As soon as I log on I check the weather, my reminders, what's on TV, and I glance at the headlines.

The TV guide now has returned to offering the TV favorites. UNLIKE it used to be - the number of favorites you can choose is limited. Right now I believe that the limit is 30. With cable and all the reruns I like watching - I hope they increase that number soon. Excite also used to let a person chose favorite movies. Movies are not included in the favorite options right now. With only 30 choices I can't choose obscure little shows to mark so I won't miss them when they repeat. The favorites show on the TV schedule in an orange color that stands out. I always glance for the orange color first to see what's on that I really like. I'm a very visual person. I like watching TV while I do other things, including while I write my Suite101 article. Right now I'm watching "Behind the Music - Grease".

My Bookmarks - this area has helped me a lot in my new job. When I need a site I can access the bookmark anywhere. Anywhere I can accesInternetternet - I can log on to my Ehomepagemepage and have access to my bookmarks. They are very easy to set up. They are just as easy to remove.

My Reminders is the area that helps me most. I've put in every birthday I can think of. It's a datebookdatebook. The birthdays stay year round and come up when I want them to. There are several choices on how soon I want to be reminded. I can have the reminder tell me:

1. Now 2. On the day of the event
3. One day before the event
