How Email Can Help Your Kids During This Trying TimeThe emails didn't have to say anything profoundly enlightening, educational or moving. They just simply had to say, "I'm here and everything is OK and I love you" They just had to reassure them that those important and vital people that they loved were still there and still thinking of them. Email offered reassurances where before they weren't a demanding need. We even took comfort in the emails that were sent by their martial arts instructor. They were full of American pride, strength through sadness and love for each of the kids that he teaches. He reminded them that even with all the tragedy unfolding arounding our great nation that they were still loved and would be protected by those around them as best as we possibly could. He reminded them they had a duty too. They had a duty to pray for those who had lost family members, those who were injured and our Government Officials and President. Email can be a good thing. Using that email to help your children is an important lesson too in my opinion. In our day and age and advanced technology seeing it used for good is another small reassurance. Knowing that I'm able to send an email to my kids classroom when I'm feeling down and missing them and wondering if they are ok is a blessing to me. To those family members and friends who have lost someone in their life in the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or the plane crash in Pennsylvania, you are in our daily prayers. May you be granted comfort and love.
